Bob Crooks was born in London in 1965 and trained at Humberside College of Higher Education and West Surrey College of Art & Design (BA hons)  During this time he took a year out to work as an assistant to Ronnie Wilkinson, former Master Glassmaker of Whitefriars glassworks, at the Glasshouse, Covent Garden, London and subsequently was the workshop manager at Glassworks (London) Ltd.  In 1990 he set up his first studio workshop in Gloucestershire, moving this after 4 years to London before finally relocating to Devon in 2002.

Bob is now recognised as one of the UK's leading glassmakers.  Renowned for the high-quality, skillfully executed dynamic pieces he produces his work has been exhibited internationally in noted exhibitions in Italy, Chine, Scandinavia, Australia and the USA as well in the UK.

Each piece is designed, handmade and finished by Bob. No moulds are used to create either the forms or surfaces achieved.
