CHRISTINE RUSSELL

pastel & oil paintings

Having painted in a variety of mediums, Christine began painting pastels whilst working at the Royal Opera House where she was
inspired by the exquisite designs produced by one of the theatre's designers.  This rapidly became Christine's preferred medium.

Leaving London for Gloucestershire in 1973, Christine spent the next twenty years perfecting her art before turning professional in 1993
