JOSE GONZALEZ BUENO

José Gonzalez Bueno was born in Malaga, Spain in 1957. He studied drawing, painting and colour composition at an art academy for several terms. 
After which he became interested in Victorian watercolour painting and studied the English and Viennese painters of the period. The endless tonal 
variations which are possible with watercolour intrigued him and the technique suited his fine draughtsmanship.

Since 1988 José has had over 25 one-man shows in Spain and his work has won many prizes and awards

In 1994 a work amongst several completed for the Spanish Foreign Legion was presented to H.M. The King of Spain D. Juan Carlos I

A relative newcomer to the gallery, we have been showing the artist’s paintings since Spring 2007.
