NIKKI WILLIAMS

Nikki Williams is a young and talented glassmaker of some distinction having made an immediate 
impact as glass designer/maker with in a few years of graduating from the University of Wolverhampton 
and the unique International Glass Centre in Brierley Hill.

With a style that is vibrant and free-flowing she gained experience form working with some of the best 
glass studios in the country namely Jonathan Harris, Anthony Stern, Mark Locock and E&M Glass.

While at Wolverhampton she was awarded a scholarship to attend the world-famous Pilchuck Glass School 
in the USA. At Brierly Hill her skills were also recognised and rewarded with a scholarship to use the blowing 
and cold working facilities at the Red House Glass Cone in Stourbridge.

In the last six years her work has been exhibited in Germany, America, Belgium, India and here in the UK.

In 2004 she opened her own studio moving to her present location in 2007 where she continues to work on 
commissions and the making of one-off art pieces.                                                                          

She works with the dynamic qualities of glass, utilising gravity and centrifugal force to create beautiful free-flowing 
forms. Colour is used to depth and vibrancy and a sense of wonder to the work.

Her inspiration comes from the natural world to film and architecture.
