_{Born in Yorkshire in 1952, Simon was originally educated in the sciences.}  

_{His first career as a biochemist led to extensive traveling and it was whilst on these journeys
that Simon began making watercolour drawings of the landscapes he saw on his travels.}

_{Now a full time artist, he still travels throughout Britain and Europe but now in search of the rugged landscapes and coastlines he loves to paint.}

_{Simon's work is in the great tradition of British watercolour painting his landscapes possess a timeless, almost Victorian feel.}
