Tony Sheath is undoubtedly one of the UK's leading landscape and genre painters.  He specialises in scenes of bucolic life drawn from
the countryside in which he lives and works.

Born in 1946, he began his career in an advertising agency before moving on for a while to work in the City, whilst at the same time
painting and exhibiting throughout the country.

By 1976 he was successful enough to become a full-time professional painter and in the intervening years he has built his reputation
as one of  Britain's finest representational painters.
